Resource Spotlight
The OCOB Alumni Mentoring Program pairs students with alumni whose careers path matches the interest of the student. There are two types of mentors in the Alumni Mentoring Program - Executives (10+ years experience) and Young Alumni (1-10 years experience). You and your mentor will connect once a month, either via phone or video call, to discuss your career goals.
If you want to learn more about the program and hear from some mentors, the Career Readiness Center is hosting an Alumni Mentor Panel on Tuesday, October 4th from 11 AM - 12 PM via zoom.
How can a mentor help you?
There are a number of ways a mentor could be beneficial for you. Mentors have years of industry experience that you can learn from! Mentors also are going to be well-versed in industry trends, skills needed in their role, career paths, and more. They can help you prepare for recruiting, review your resume, introduce you to other connections, and more.
